On 11th September 2010, the Anti-Bullfighting Alliance will lead a peaceful march in Nîmes to raise awareness of the horrific activity that is bullfighting. Various animal protection movements and hundreds of individuals from all over France and Europe will take part. We will be marching the streets of Nîmes in the company of stilt walkers and percussionists, five days before the Vendanges festival, during which time bullfighting will be taking place as part of the Arles festival. The messages we deliver this day need to be to the point and without compromise: “No to Bullfighting! Abolish this barbaric sport!”, “Torture is not our culture”, “No to Bullfighting, yes to respect for life”.
A banner promoting our event is downloadable and can be sent via email or printed and distributed.
You can also download two PDFs and create your own billboards:
In order to ensure that we are consistent, we ask that you avoid wearing clothing with logos on it and respect the red/black/white colour code. We advise that you wear a t-shirt screen-printed with « Corrida ? Non merci… » or order one from our online store.
Transport forum is online from France only on protection-des-animaux.
A vegetarian dinner will be served onsite at 7pm, with starters, main, dessert and drinks, for the all-inclusive price of 18 euros. Reservations are necessary. Send a cheque to the Anti-Bullfighting Alliance before the 10th August.
